The church was planted in its current building in 2004 and seeks to serve the community around it and the wider region of the Vale. 

 

It is lead by Pastor Phil Morgan and Assistant Pastor Becky Morgan.

Coastlands houses the Vale Foodbank and plays a key part in other compassion ministries in the town. 

 

The church seeks to be culturally relevant and has a strong worship team. It is independent of any denomination but is part of the Evangelical Alliance, New Wine Cymru, Gweini and Churches of Barry.
